Description:

13th-century church

The parish church dedicated to ND de l'Assomption is a true jewel of Provencal sacred art. Built entirely of stone, it was erected in the 12th, 13th, 15th and 17th centuries. Its architecture and contents bear witness to seven centuries of community life in Mons.

The church is adorned with 6 altars and altarpieces: the main altar 1680, worthy of a cathedral, Notre Dame du Rosaire 1635, Saint-Eloi 1715, Saint-Joseph 1680 and Saint-Antoine were classified by ministerial decree in 1958. The Altar of the Souls in Purgatory was listed in 1987.

The parish has been entrusted to the Saint-Martin community by the diocese of Fréjus et Toulon since 1988.
