With five centuries of loyal service behind it, the Canal de Fontigon is a reminder of its essential role in the lives of Ampusians.
In 1497, the canal was dug to bring water from the Hugon fountain to the village. The canal is 7.2 km long and has a 2% gradient.

Created in 1920 by a couple of American origin, the Villecroze park covers 2.5 hectares at the bottom of tuff cliffs where the troglodyte caves were founded with mullioned windows. 
This cool oasis is dominated by a succession of terraces and restanques, previously cultivated for fooding.
