Symbol of the Massif des Maures, the cork oak is the only tree whose precious bark, cork, can be harvested without injuring or killing it.
Accompanied by a forestry technician, you will discover the uses of this material, the exploitation of which used to provide a living for the villages of the Maures.
You will then witness a demonstration of cork lifting, a true art of which only the foresters have the secret.
